The ministry of music in our parish encourages those who are gifted instrumentalists and singers to contribute their talent within our liturgical settings. Traditionally music and song are among the strongest elements in Catholic worship. We have an exceptionally good choir at the 10:00 a.m. Mass and the Life Teen® Noon Mass is very lively and contemporary.

Eucharistic Adoration

Environment & Art Committee
This committee is responsible for decorating the church/worship space. People with creative and artistic abilities are needed, along with people who have the time to set up and take down the seasonal decorations.

Eucharistic Ministers

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist have the privilege of assisting the presider in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass. Some of these ministers bring Holy Communion to the homebound. Training and practice are provided.

Greeter/Usher

Ushers assist in seating members of the assembly as they enter church for liturgies. The ushers also ask a family or individuals to bring up the gifts of bread and wine, pass the baskets for collection and distribute bulletins after Mass. They also coordinate the flow for Holy Communion.

Lectors

This is a ministry of public proclamation of the Word of God. In addition, these ministers lead the Prayers of the Faithful, read letters from the Archbishop and make announcements. Training and practice are provided. Workbooks are available to help lectors.

Liturgy Committee

Meeting: First Tuesday of the Month 7:00 p.m.
This committee is responsible for planning the liturgical seasons of the year, the weekly liturgical celebrations and para-liturgical services throughout the year. This committee also recruits and trains the various ministers for these celebrations and assists the music director in planning the liturgical music. Interested persons are encouraged to make a two to three year commitment.

Mass Coordinator/Sacristan

The responsibilities of the Mass Coordinators include preparing the altar, sacristy and the church prior to the liturgy; facilitate and guide the other ministers in the performance of their ministries; and to assist the other ministers to return everything to its rightful place after the liturgy.

Servers

Through this ministry any boy or girl of the parish (beginning in 5th grade) may assist the priest and other liturgical ministers with the preparations and celebration of Mass and other services.
