Children's Liturgy of the Word
Offered September through May, Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLW) programs are a growing trend at many parishes across the country. During CLW, young children leave the sanctuary during the Liturgy of the Word to hear the scripture readings proclaimed and explained at an age-appropriate level.
These sessions are not faith formation classes, arts-and-crafts activities, or babysitting during Mass. Rather, the children hear the same Mass readings as adults – but in simpler terms that are easier to grasp.

Parish School of Religion
Saint Cletus Parish School of Religion offers a dynamic, faith-filled environment in which children in grades Kindergarten through Eight can grow in their relationship with the Lord and appreciate the beauty their faith has to give them.
In grades Kindergarten through Eighth the children meet in a traditional classroom setting, and receive individual guidance as they grow in the Catholic Faith. Curriculum follows the same as St. Cletus Day School with each year’s religion curriculum building upon the previous year’s content. Classes are relatively small with an average of 12 and no more than 16 students per classroom.
We recognize that children learn in a variety of ways, so our catechists offer faith formation that is geared to every learner at the various age levels. Hands-on activities, music, church tours, grade-level service projects, accompanied by traditional text-book learning, group discussions and activities aid in instructing your children about the foundations of our Catholic beliefs. Believing that parents are the first teachers of the Faith, the staff of the Parish School of Religion are here to encourage and support them in this responsibility.
