Adult RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
Jesus Christ is seeking those who desire to be close to him and his Church. This ministry provides the journey for those who wish to grow closer by living a life of faith, hope and love within the Catholic Church.
RCIA is for adults who are interested in the Catholic faith or who might want to become Catholic. This includes those who are not baptized, those who were baptized in another Christian tradition, those were baptized Catholic but have not received the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist or Confirmation. Those who are fully initiated into the Catholic Church may participate by accompanying these folks by being a catechist or sponsor. The Thursday evening sessions are informal and provide opportunities to learn through prayer, presentations and discussion. One explores his or her relationship with Christ so that it can be enriched and deepened. As this journey progresses, there are steps and special prayers throughout the year. In the spring those who choose will receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist according to his or her need. |
RCIA meets on Thursdays (beginning September 8) at 7:00 PM in the Duchesne Room in the Parish Hall
