Stitches for Life
Our mission is to provide hand sewn items to meet a variety of needs in our community, relying on ministries within our parish and charitable agencies in the area, to identify the needs and distribute the items. Our goal is to be useful to any charity that is in need and also to re-purpose fabric that might otherwise be thrown away.
Our volunteers enjoy sewing and making a variety of items for different charities in the greater St. Charles and St Louis area. Since nothing we sew is fitted, it is easy to complete any project. Our volunteers pick up kits to take home to sew, then return the completed items during our next get-together in the coordinator’s home. Some volunteers cut their own kits. All fabric is donated, so our volunteers pick up the fabric or fabric kit from the coordinator’s home. Instructions for completing the project and samples are available for each item that we make. Some of the items that our volunteers sew:
When we meet, we also view what everyone has made since the last meeting and enjoy fellowship with each other. We discuss what the next project will be. We are always in need of donated fabric and have a bin available for the donated fabric in the gathering space of the church. We would rather you consider donating fabric so we can put it to good use, instead of throwing it away. |

Stitches for Life meets Wednesdays at 10:00 AM at the coordinator’s home every other month.
